Liraglutide is a solid appetite suppression tool, but it's not magic. It's a GLP-1 receptor agonist that slows gastric emptying and reduces hunger signals — basically makes it easier to stick to a calorie deficit by killing food drive.
The mechanism is straightforward: it mimics incretin hormones that tell your brain you're full and slow down how fast food leaves your stomach. Weight loss comes from eating less, not from any direct fat-burning effect — but it can come at the expense of muscle mass if proper nutrition and weight training aren't utilized.
